Okay, I've lurked long enough, time to consult the hivemind for advice...

So, you're signed up to a (reputable) dating site, and an attractive member of the opposite sex sends you a nudge/smiley thing to which you respond with a courteous "Thanks how are you" message... You receive a generic message back, "I haven't subscribed but will do soon" kind of thing, and you think, hey, that's cool... so then you log into Facebook a couple of days later, and said member of opposite sex has found your profile and sent you a message (yes, you were stupid enough to reveal your real forename in the message you sent)...

..weird, or nice?
