i want to analyse thelma and louise as a female road movie in a genre that was typically male....

so i was thinking about using the role of woman in the beat movement as a sort of introduction/context etc etc...woman in a typically male dominated movement, with 'on the road', sort of linking the two.

so, yeah. i can't remember who the female movers and shakers were..

any help?

so far i've only got caroline cassidy's memoir.

there must be a book specifically on woman in the beat movement.
