Has Eastenders ever not been embarrassing?

untrue [Edit] [Delete] 21:49, 17 August '10

For a start, the characters don't speak like people from the real world. The writers seem to have invented their own weird, generic dialogue that contains no dialect or any current faddish sayings etc.

The storylines are ridiculous and not appropriate for a pre-watershed programme because everything has to be diluted and made family friendly.

Phil Mitchell apparently turning into a massive crackhead after smoking it once, and the line "I know you're using Phillll" - does anyone ever say 'using' in that context? "No", untrue replied, answering his own question.

Ongoing child abuse thing as well with Ronnie. Crack addiction and child abuse, stupid, dunno what it's trying to be.

Basically Coronation Street is well good and Eastenders is gay.
