I have a very real fear of teleportation

moker [Edit] [Delete] 13:01, 27 August '10

If they invent it in my lifetime, I'm not trying it.

Here's why:

If say Mr Smith gets in teleportation Booth A to be teleported to Booth B, it's quite possible, because it'll deconstruct you and then map you over to Booth B, that in fact what comes out of Booth B might look, sound and be identical to Mr Smith, but won't ACTUALLY by Mr Smith. It'll be a fucking clone.

Whereas Mr Smith, himself - as in his consciousness - died when he was teleported.

Worse still is that this clone o Mr Smith will act and talk exactly like the old Mr SMith and even SAY and THINK he's Mr Smith but he won't be. He'll be an imposter, but no-one will realise, including himself.

Even worse still, everyone will thus think teleportation is completely safe and thus will start using it all the time until the whole world is full of clones and people are dying all the time and no-one even realises.

IT FREAKS ME OUT.
