You know how Ryanair ask you to pay for checking your back in? it's the same over here on most airlines... but that means EVERYONE tries to take on a hand bag. It's insane. when i was flying from Charlotte to Houston four people's hand luggage had to get checked onto a different plane because there was no space in the overhead spaces for it and we were over weight elsewhere.

Not sure i understand how that is possible, but anyway...
