Inspired by the first date thread and the sofa's in pubs thread (bear(bare?) with me) when is the best place to make a move on a date?

I have a friend who always does it on tube platforms when they're saying goodbye. Now I can't think of anything worse than kissing someone on a crowed tube platform as their trains about to pull in.
Something like a sofa in a quiet corner of a pub seems much simpler.

So where do YOU like to bust out your best moves on potential lady/man friends?

Also what if you've done something like gone to a museum/gallery where it's not best practice to start pulling in front of an exhibit/crowds of children?
Re-locate to a more sutable location or settle for a kiss on the cheek and a sense missed opportunities?
