So you know how when you're ill people say you should drink some honey and lemon, how do you actually make it?

Is it just hot water, honey and lemon? Does the water need to be boiling? Whats the ratio of honey to lemon? It's all too confusing for me but it's too late to call my mummy and ask for help.
