Music Social More…

So I just discovered that I have been being charged for RECEIVING spam texts over the last 3 months

Smee [Edit] [Delete] 12:47, 2 December '13

Comes to £35.

O2 say that they won't refund the money, but they have stopped any future texts. Given me the number of the company doing it, but say basically it's my problem for signing up to their service in the first place.

Needles to say I never asked anyone to send me porny links or chatline numbers and charge me £4 a pop for the privelege, and needles to say I never followed up on any of them. O2 say that the only information someone needs to sign you up to this service is your mobile number, so presumably there's some foul play going on here.

Anyone got anything useful to say about what my rights are here? If the company just say I signed up on a website somewhere what can I do? Do O2 have any responsibility to protect from this kind of thing and if so what can I do to make them help more?

Cheers loves
