Weekend Football Thread.

burst_apart [Edit] [Delete] 09:05, 14 December '13

City v Arsenal and Spurs v Liverpool are the weekend's standout games, both hard to call. Wouldn't be surprised with any outcome in either really. No major anti-bants here, but i do think Arsenal's five-man midfield will create plenty of chances against City's orthodox 4-4-2. 4/1 seems like a very big price on the league-leaders, though obviously City are generally very good at home.

Elsewhere, Newcastle/Southampton could be alright, Chelsea beat Palace 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, the two worst sides in the division go head-to-head at Upton Park, Hull v Stoke has last on MOTD written all over it, Wayne Rooney beats Aston Villa, Cardiff host West Brom, Fulham go to Goodison, Norwich play Swansea.

The pick of the non-Prem games are Blackpool v QPR and Leicester v Burnley at the top of the Championship, Barca v Villarreal, Atletico Madrid v Valencia, and Inter v Napoli.

City 2 Arsenal 3
Hull 0 Stoke 0
Chelsea 2 Palace 0
Everton 2 Fulham 1
West Ham 0 Sunderland 0
Cardiff 1 West Brom 2
Newcastle 2 Southampton 2

Villa 0 United 2
Norwich 1 Swansea 1
Spurs 2 Liverpool 1
