Hams: how do you do yours?

PickledOeuf [Edit] [Delete] 11:28, 18 December '13

So I'm cooking a ham tonight.
Normally I'll do nigella's ham in coke (topical LOL) but i fancy something a little more festive and was thinking of boiling in ginger ale and then reducing that to a glaze and finishing of in the overn uncovered. But I'm improvising and it could go wrong, and I need to feed 9 people.
has anybody got any tried and tested methods?
Also, side dishes. I am thinking mac cheese and crunchy coleslaw with red cabbage.....but will gladly take inspiration.
