Now I usually hate it when people do this, but today I had to nip into the tailors to drop some stuff off and with the Christmas bustle everyone was doing it. IT WAS HECTIC. Well, people were acting like it was Armageddon or something. Anyway, I parked up in the back street in the double yellows, right behind the shop and was in and out in about 2 minutes.

I heard a rule somewhere that if you park on double yellow lines and put your hazards on you're allowed 5 minutes there? Likewise with street parking where you would normally pay? I put my hazards on just in case but is this true?
