Recommendations please: pub rooms to rent for a birthday party

ThierryEnnui [Edit] [Delete] 10:23, 14 January '14

Relatively central would would be better, I'm thinking anywhere from Islington through Clerkenwell, over to Dalston/Shoreditch, down through the city, over to Borough, down as far as Peckham, as long as it's not a total chore to get to from some kind of station I don't mind. What I'd like though is a separate room rather than a section, not massive but big enough for 30 or so, who'll let us bring our own music in and decorate a bit. The big thing though is I'd quite like a 2 o'clock closing time, which is rare, and for the room to be available to rent on a Saturday night without charging us a fortune. Also for the bar to have a couple of nice drinks on, rather than just being a Fosters kind of place. I'm going to have a look at The Roebuck in Borough but it might be a bit quiet for when I intend to bring out my homemade nu-metal compilation, and also they close up at 1. Any suggestions would be most useful.
