Genuine advice only please.

I work in a support role and we used to be a team of all girls. Last year we got 3 guys on our team who are respected a lot more than we are. Most of us had supported one of the teams for 6 months without thanks, the guy strolls in, starts supporting them and gets given gifts and handshakes every day despite not really doing anything yet.

I’ve been looking after 1 guy for 10 months, a guy on the team does one tiny bit of work for him, we both get a thanks to my manager for this bit of work…but no thanks for my 10 months of work.

How do you stop this though?
I’m in a group at work that supports female roles in the workplace, and I've applied to be the team's manager, but I don’t really know how to go about stopping whats happening as its starting to piss us all off.
