Tell me about your local paper

hip_young_gunslinger [Edit] [Delete] 14:34, 22 January '14

You can't, can you, because you don't read it, and certainly never buy it. That being so, can you see a point in the future when you ever will buy your local paper? And if not, what's the point of them bothering any more?

Local papers lived on advertising, especially homes, motors and jobs, all of which has moved online. Now, local papers can't make money, so the quality declines, people stop buying them, they make even less money, the cycle continues. If you ever do need some local news, you just go the BBC which is funded by your license fee, for better or worse.

Local papers - why don't they just give up now?
