Went the dentist this morning, first time in 17 years. Took down my particulars, told him I'm not here for that - just stick to the teeth. He did a couple of x-rays, check up, said my teeth were OK, some moderate gum disease though :(

probably caused by brushing too hard he said (Mrs C_B tells me off for that too). Said we can stop it getting worse with some special mouthwash (I bet he did), brushing gentler and using a leccy toothbrush. Bit worried my teeth will all fall out now, grow back gums! They look OK to me but they were a bit low he said.

Gave me a scale and polish, and got to go back in two months to check gum progress
You have to wear safety glasses for that now though! H&S gone mad.

Also weird that the 'dentist' was definitely a few years younger than me, and wearing Nike hi-tops. And his assistant looked like se had just left school. Still, only cost me £49. No lollipop or sticker though.
