Microwaves and their Delusions of Complexity

Si_Badvibes [Edit] [Delete] 12:21, 25 February '14

Just cooking my lunch in the microwave, but have stuck the food on defrost setting. Not because my food needs defrosting first, but just to make the microwave feel useful. Microwaves have been in my life for about 30 years and I have yet to use any setting aside from "maximum power- cook that mofo NOW".

They have yet to convince me of the point in any other function. They need to get over themselves. It's like kettles having a 'make water quite warm' setting (which they don't obviously).

Microwaves are the overqualified temp of the appliance world.
