just remembered the time i fell over

Shuffles [Edit] [Delete] 16:46, 4 March '14

because i was running to catch a train to go hiking for the first time and was wearing these hulking boots that i'd borrowed. i hadn't realised that tucking in the laces was kind of a necessity with these boots, so pretty soon after leaving my flat they snagged on each other and i did some comedy slipping-on-ice acrobatics before diving forwards onto the pavement. this guy who was right by me came over quite concerned and asked if i was okay, and me, being quite embarrassed about what had happened, just hurried to my feet and took off saying 'yes yes i'm okay thanks!' before doing literally the same thing again only a few steps later with maybe even more acrobatics the second time. it was at that point that i tucked in the laces and explained to the guy what had happened, but idk. i feel like it would've been much better for the both of us if he'd found it at least a little bit funny, but his expression was just of concern the whole time. was wearing this big backpack too that would've added to the slapstick value. obviously it's good to be concerned, but it's okay to have a small laugh at me, would've made it a bit less awkward.

how would've you reacted? do you have any good falling over stories to share?
