ITT: Other people's weird/weirdly phrased #opinions
For when other people make the BIG calls that matter or botch a thought and sound like a weirdo
I had a boss once who was morally opposed to guide dogs, calling it "canine slavery". I laughed thinking he was joking, but they were dead serious. They didn't care about animal rights either, like had meat every day, but couldn't agree with "stealing a dog's life" to help a blind person
A former house mate of mine was focusing on eastern European history at uni. At a house party of ours he was trying to make a point about how the Nazis' regime's ethnic murdering totally reshaped the demography of Eastern Europe. However high as a kite at 4am it came out as "In many ways, the holocaust was the best thing that ever happened to Poland" :-/
