Hello, let me start out by telling you a little about my family and I. My name is Lorie , I'm a daughter, mother and grandmother.
In the home we have a total of 13 people, 6 of which are children ages 3 months to 4 years old (my grandchildren), 3 of my 6 children, my son-in-law and my wonderful parents 70 and 78 years of age.My parents will be achieving "the golden 50" milestone this year on the 8th of September. My wonderful mother, bless her heart, has been through 2 back to back surgeries with more to come. In April of this year, my mother had surgery, in which went well, we thought. Then only 1 week afterwards, she received a heart wrenching call by the doctor. Cancer was found, and they required another surgery as soon as possible to catch it. I will never forget that feeling, as I walked into the room. Sitting on the bed were my parents, my mother on the phone in tears, while nodding yes to the doctor. She could not even find the strength to talk at this point. She hung up the phone and told us, they found cancer. My father turned pail white as he hugged her, assuring her it was going to be alright.As I mentioned earlier my parents anniversary is coming up on September 8. The family has never been able to do a family trip, due to just having enough to pay for rent, bills, medication for my parents, and food on the table. We have been talking about going on a Disney vacation for years, though every time we think we could pay a couple hundred to hold rooms something comes up. We just can't afford it. I have come on here as a last ditch effort, that maybe I can find help. I am trying to raise the money myself for the family. As no one knows I am here trying. It would be a dream come true for my parents to have the family together on a vacation. I know they are happy just to have the family together, but to do this would mean everything to them.
