Walford, according to the fictional tube map in the programme, is approximately where Bromley-by-Bow is, so a nice terraced house on a garden square, only a minute or so from the Tube and lots of amenities, should cost well in excess of half a mil, if not a lot more. How do any of characters afford to live there?

(PS I've never really watched EastEnders, all the characters could be management consultants now for all I know).
