How come I hate it when people are cleverer than me and are you the same?

barleysugar [Edit] [Delete] 19:27, 8 January '15

Do you? When I was 7 I wrote a poem about Tutankhamun and my grandma framed it and put it on the wall near the door as you walk in and that made me think I was some sort of genius. Took until I was about 16/17 for those delusions to start crumbling off into the unforgiving sea of reality (amazing bit of writing) with the realisation that I was thicker than the people I'd grown up secretly assuming I was more intelligent than. Basically I think some accidental bad parenting decisions made me grow up thinking that my worth was defined by my intelligence and obviously the byproduct of that is feeling worthLESS when you know you're thicker than people and almost like you were lied to or something and makes me almost resent all the geniuses on here haha :)

haha :)
