Why do the Labour Party/their supporters keep sharing really crap images on social media?!

BritpopForever [Edit] [Delete] 09:31, 5 February '15

Usually made 'Dr' Eoin Clark, but even the official party now seem to have got in on the act. You know, the kind of thing where it will be a very badly photoshopped picture of David Cameron smiling with the caption "The Tories want to close 10,000 of our NHS hospitals and eat your babies. RT if you agree." Just like really crap click bait stuff which serves no purpose but, I presume, to galvanise those already converted. Weirdly tribal - very comfort zone stuff.

It seems to be quite specific to Labour. Well, Labour and the likes of Class War but they're probably not the bed-fellows Miliband is after (or maybe it is?!). I would say it's a 'lefty' thing, but I don't really see the Greens doing it so much.

Is this approach part of some official Labour strategy, or is it just rogue grassroots members who do it?

Hmm, interesting...
