people who run major sports leagues, competitions etc

brusma [Edit] [Delete] 12:05, 11 February '15

this lot seem to be the ultimate shower of shit, with no immediate exceptions springing to mind.

here's something from this guardian article http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/feb/11/richard-scudamore-premier-league-responsibility-living-wage?CMP=share_btn_tw

Asked on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme whether clubs should react to the 70% rise in income by increasing the wages of their lowest paid employees – with Chelsea the only Premier League club to commit to paying the living wage - Scudamore said: “At the end of the day there’s a thing called the living wage but there’s also a minimum wage, and politicians do have the power to up that minimum wage. That’s entirely for the politicians to do, that’s not for us to do.”

Asked whether it made him uncomfortable to see clubs paying some players “half-a-million pounds a week” while other members of staff earned below the living wage, Scudamore said: “No it doesn’t make me uncomfortable.

Roger Goodell's spent most of the NFL season trying to cover up domestic violence, ignoring concussions and fining people for not talking to sponsors. Giles Clarke is a piece of shit. Bernie Ecclestone even more so. and don't even start me, or anyone else on Sepp Blatter, a man who it seems considers himself above the laws of well, pick a country.

are this lot the worst bunch of you-know-whats around or what? let's all talk about how horrible people who run sports and sports leagues are, and how hard it is to enjoy watching sports when they're taking place yet hate everything that they represent in a wider context
