hello. I would like to express my interests in taking photographs via the medium of using a camera. I hear this is a good week to buy such a device. Given a budget of £100, I've so far found this "camera", but is it just a really bad idea getting it?

I think i want a compact. An irl friend suggested getting a lumix second hand on ebay. are they a right nutter?
