Seems a logical way to meet people who share your tastes and potentially form bands, friendships or even meet a partner.

I live in a small town which I don't mind but had thought this would be a good thing to do given that in now in my 30s and alot of my mates are married, in relationships, not into music so much or just too busy. Not a tale of woe, just seems a good time to branch out.
