Hello all,

I'm spending a couple of weeks in California soon, as part of a longer holiday. Any suggestions for things to do, places to eat (preferably veg) and drink would be welcome. I've looked at the old threads and got some ideas, things I'd planned (other than just wander about) to do are in brackets .

So far I'm going to:
- San Francisco (doing the Anchor brewery tour, Alcatraz tour, seeing a baseball game, golden gate park/bridge inc Japanese tea gardens, probably modern art musuem)

-Yosemite Valley (probably hike El capitan)

-Santa Cruz (Saturn Cafe, Boardwalk)

-Monterrey (Cannery row)

-Big Sur (Lighthouse, Henry miller library)

-LA (Getty Museum, other art galleries)
