suppose this friend right had this other "friend"who had bought their niece a teddy bear that you can send voice messages to and make it say stuff, and the other friend was sending messages to it like 'hello [redacted], this is other friend!! i love you!! etc'

would it be wrong to express some dismay about the child's mental wellbeing as a result or would one be better served by shutting up about it?
