I need a good excuse

hip_young_gunslinger [Edit] [Delete] 09:54, 12 July '16

When I started this job I already had a big chunk of holiday booked, which they were fine with, but that added with needing time off for personal stuff means I've basically already used up all my holiday days. BUT, I need one more day off, for good friend's Friday wedding. My boss is a nice guy, but I don't feel like I have a tonne of brownie points at the moment due to aforementioned time off and the fact he saw me on DiS the other day.

To complicate matters, he's now asked me if I'm happy to do a business trip with him on the two days before the wedding, but I failed to use this opportunity to mention it. Not really sure how to bring it up. Say my mate has sprung it on us last minute? (It is the kind of thing he would do). Pull a sickie? (Difficult, because I have train tickets for that Thursday night and can't risk the work trip coming back late?) Fall on his mercy? Suck his dick?
