my gf's dad's mate from work has offered to give us a car coz he's getting rid and can't be arsed selling or scrapping it. he says it's totally fine, he's only been using it to get to and from work and he's a mechanic so he's been fixing it up himself over the years. dunno age/mileage/etc yet but this seems dodgy. someone tell me whether this is or isn't dodgy please?
