Music Social More…

going back to uni

disastro_ [Edit] [Delete] 10:05, 23 July '16

have you done it? was it worth it?

My first degree was really "creative"/vocational/wank and now that I no longer work in that industry, it's doing me no favours. I can't get a job earning more than 16k, and I'm worried that by the time I'm forty I will cease to be useful to society because of robots or tories or w/e, and I'll be sold to farms for pig food.

Luckily I left uni with a teeny tiny bit of debt thanks to being scottish and living with my parents the entire time so that's not a barrier - I'm just wondering if it'll be worth it. I want to do something like Social Policy/Social Work/Sociology, but will getting myself in 20k of debt to go into that area of work be such a good idea? I'm not so sure. I'm also kind of worried that universities will look at my educational track record and decide I'm too thick.

Tell me ur experiences plz x
