help me make a decision about flats thread

tiramisu [Edit] [Delete] 19:28, 6 September '16

hi guys. in case you don't remember, i just moved to budapest (yay!) but i am currently living in a hostel and flathunting (boo!)

today i saw two flats and i am paralysed by indecision so i thought it would be fun n cool if you gave me yr input

flat 1: three bedrooms, did not meet either of the flatmates (one of them is vacating shortly to be replaced by someone new anyway). the bedroom i'd get is enormous and practically a studio in itself with sofas and a mezzanine and everything. pros: cheap, central, maybe the flatmates will be cool and i can hang out with them. cons: maybe the flatmates won't be cool and it'll be awkward and terrible

flat 2: an actual studio, super pretty and also central. pros: loads of space for people to come and stay with me (including double sofa bed plus an extra single bed on a tiny mezzanine (the main bed is also on a mezzanine (the hungarians fucking love their mezzanines))), SO PRETTY, maybe living alone would be cool? cons: costs about half of my monthly scholarship (which is still insanely cheap by UK standards but still), all the other skint students will think i'm a fucking dickhead swanning about with my fancy scholarship flat, not sure if i would actually enjoy living alone

i realise this is a deeply boring thread and you guys only like boring housing threads when it's about *~*#~OWNING PROPERTY~#*~# but i've written it now and i'm waiting for my mum to skype me, so let's do this ok
