The racist media has been banging on about the clerical errors made with respect to the lack of deportation of convicted "foreign" criminals at the end of their sentences. Charles Clarke had been criticised and there had been pressure upon him to resign.

The problem is not the incompetance of various government departments, it is the fact that the British government bypasses the human rights of foreigners by exercising deportation outside of Europen and British law. All deportations are required to be assesed legally and with a right of appeal. The government bypasses this if the subject of the deportation has been convicted of a crime. That is what is wrong here, not failures in clerical processing.

Clarke, being a typical Labour minister racist had reacted by calling for further curbs on the human rights of foreigners.

He has been sacked for not being proficient enough with his abuses of human rights.
