Leaving the TV and video on standby uses up so much electricity that collectively it actually has some impact on the level of dioxide emissions produced by the country. Did anyone else see that? It was all over the news. Same goes for leaving the lights on and stuff. if everyone switched their lights off, turned the heating down one degree, and didn't use the sleep button on the telly, emissions could drop by something ridiculous like 5 whole percent.

Better start turning stuff off, eh.
