DiS Birthday Shenanigans. Discover new music and PAAARTAY with us!
DiS Birthday Shenanigans. Discover new music and PAAARTAY with us!
sean by Sean Adams September 12th, 2003
Zooooom... there went the past three years of your life. All you have to show for it is a pile of receipts, a mountain of demos and an inbox you dream of one day clearing out. It must be time to party, surely?

Three years in music is a long time. Three years gets you from 100 readers, to 35,000 readers, from 1000 to 1 million bandwidth-sucking pageviews a month. Three years is not long when you've got your ear to the ground, your soul on the line and an ever-expanding bunch of friends (and enemies) by your side. In the past three years we've been the first to shout about chart-ravagers The Cooper Temple Clause, The Darkness, and several thousand other bands on the fringes of rockstardom. We've championed the underdogs (Biffy Clyro, Miss Black America), the outcasts (Bright Eyes, The Phil Collins 3), the insane geniuses and laid down to stop trains carrying promos of the latest offerings from Fat Cat, Domino, Saddle Creek, Buddyhead, Warp and hundreds of other great labels.

So yeah, October 1st marks three years. We'll be relaunching the site, announcing the tracklisting for our first compilation and holding a whole week of new music for you to discover and bathe in until you get like us lot and just have to write about it...
