Elbow lend a helping hand to Tsunami Appeal
tmack by Tommy Mack January 14th, 2005

Manchester scowlrock champs Elbow are to head up the bill at a Tsunami Disaster Appeal benefit gig at the city's Apollo theatre later this month, co-ordinated by Gold Blade head honcho and sometime DiS writer John Robb.

In response to the Tsunami disaster, Manchester musicians have decided to raise a million quid.

With several events spread over the next four weeks coming under the umbrella of The Manchester Million, the campaign kicks off with the gig at the Manchester Apollo on Sunday January 30th featuring Elbow, I Am Kloot, Durutti Column, Gold Blade and several other artists about to be announced. Tickets are £12 and are on sale now.

More info is available at www.manchestermillion.co.uk

Further bands and additional details on other Manchester Million benefit gigs to follow soon.
