Ex-Carter Jim Bob to play Tsunami Relief gig
-gen- by Gen Williams February 2nd, 2005
In response to the recent South Asian tsunami disaster, February will see a collection of London gigs organised by Joyzine, the band Rhesus and others. Everyone involved, from the bands to the venues, will donate their services for free, so all proceeds will go straight to the Tsunami Relief DEC Fund.

There are two confirmed events so far. On Wednesday 15th February, Art Brut, Rhesus and Sam & Me join forces with the djing talents of John Kennedy (Xfm) and the Rock & Roll Idiots (Frog residents) at the 100 Club.

Then on 20th February, an alldayer at the Windmill will raise more funds for the appeal. Co-headlined by ex-Carter USM frontman Jim Bob and Abdoujaparov (fronted by Carter's legendary/infamous (delete as appropriate) guitarist, Les "Fruitbat" Carter), the gig will pull together a collective of London bands for an evening of rock and roll fun. With a barbecue!

Rhesus
Sam & Me

Rock & Roll Idiots
7.30-11pm
