The Clientele: International Popstars!
jmoore by James Moore August 8th, 2001
Well kinda...

The London band have just released a split 7" with The Saturday People on American label Slumberland Records. Their song is 'Porcelain', and is exclusive to this record.
The Saturday People's song is 'Grace', a Greg Pavlovsky composition.

There are also plans to release a new E.P on Spainish label Acuarela Records. Titled 'Friday Night To Sunday Morning', it'll be a completely new EP, and should be out in late autumn.

They also have a few gigs coming up over the next couple of months:

September
8th - Upstairs @ the Garage, London. (w/ Tears in X Ray Eyes)
15th - CMJ New York, USA, Merge Records Showcase. Venue tbc. (w/ the Clean, Ladybug Transistor and others tbc)

November
9th - Tanned Tin festival, Santander, Spain. (w/ Labradford, Retsin, Thalia Zedek, Manta Ray, Barbara Manning, Experience, Lisabo, Piano Magic, Sodastream and Dakota Suite)

The band have urged fans not to buy the 'A Fading Summer' EP on March Records, as "it's no better than a bootleg: none of the royalties owed to the band have been paid, legal action is currently being taken, and March Records' license to manufacture and sell it has been revoked."

A new imprint of the same EP will be coming out on a different label in the near future.
