The Killers are the first act to be officially confirmed for this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals.
The Las Vegas quartet will play headline slots on Saturday night (23 Aug) to a crowd of Southerners and the following evening (yes, 24 Aug) in Leeds.
The news follows months of speculation and just one other previously confirmed date in the UK and Ireland that DrownedinSound knew about last week but didn’t report because, well, we didn’t know you were into that sort of thing.
If you are, Brandon Flowers and co. will be at Marlay Park in Dublin on August 21st. Tickets for that go on sale this Friday, the 4th of April at 8am.
The rest of the bill for this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals will be announced at a launch party tonight at 7pm which, coincidentally, is when tickets for the weeked also go on sale. DrownedinSound won’t be there, however, as the Leeds Cockpit is 200 miles away.
