Croatia might not be the first place you think of when talking folk music, festivals and, um, elephants, but the country's to play host to the first-ever Electric Elephant festival this summer, with Adem (pictured) among the confirmed live acts.
The Electric Chair club, Manchester, is setting up shop in the Croatian village of Petrcane on August 22-24. Festival organisers are promising “music, love, sun, liberation, escape, sex, togetherness and freedom” at the event, and have attracted a selection of promoters to run their own stages, including the Fence Collective, Red Bricks and The Local.
