Resigned to the fact that Coldplay are - like those 'PUNK ROCK '77' shirts people buy from Topman - going to be everywhere this summer, DrownedinSound takes a glance at the band’s tour schedule for 2008 and at least feels a glimmer of respect for such a colossal undertaking.
Two shows, of course, have already been announced – free concerts at Brixton Academy in London and New York’s Madison Square Garden coming on the 16th and 23rd of June respectively. Details on how to win tickets can be found at the band’s official website.
Elsewhere, a show at Echo Arena in Liverpool will take place on the 10th of December, though ticket details for that are yet to be confirmed. Chances are the gig, arranged as part of Liverpool’s ceaseless European Capital of Culture celebrations, will be a paid-for affair, much like this torrent of Canadian and American dates:
