Time Out has revealed that Antony and the Johnsons' breakthrough success of 2005, I Am A Bird Now, was particularly popular with residents of the poshest of London's many boroughs.
The album was a top-ten seller in Islington (I used to live there, fact), Hampstead and Richmond. So what? Well, overall it rolled in at 132 in the 2005 best-sellers list, making its top ten position in those boroughs a little noteworthy. Ish. Gimme a break, it's freakin' home time.
In totally unrelated news, a US version Top Of The Pops is going to be broadcast over there fairly soon, some Bay City Rollers people have been busted for drugs, MySpace is to set live a UK-specific version of the site within the next 30 days that'll focus initially on music, and that one in Babyshambles that isn't Pete has apparently rejoined the band after a minor falling out - he was spotted ON STAGE at their last show, where they went on no less than 90 minutes late. The cunts.
