BANG! : Nu Rock Rag
sean by Sean Adams January 30th, 2003
Bored of the Music Press? Us too... so we're quite likely to be leaping aboard and getting ourselves filthy with this..

"A New Alternative Music Monthly from Future Publishing" entitled BANG. It's from the people who made the 7" sized Circuit magazine. The first issue of BANG is due 1st April 2003. It's pretty safe to the say the title is inspired by the guys' love for Lester Bangs and Creem magazine.

They've let the following, their first statement about the mag, loose on the public..

"For at least five years the music press has been lacking a forum for individualistic expression, intelligent analysis, and nonconformist viewpoints. BANG intends to revive these fundamental qualities and has been created with the music fan at its heart, without interference from satanic focus groops or punch drunk steering committees. Brave and perceptive writing, inspiring photography and innovative graphics and design will be BANG’s hallmark, and great new music will be BANG's call to arms."

As well as editors The Gloom Brothers, the magazine has Simon Price in charge of features and John Doran in charge of news.

If you'd like to send them stuff to review, send it to: BANG, 99 Baker Street, London, W1U 6FP.

We hear the 1st issue is gonna cost £1, but the normal price will be just over £3. More info on the mag as we have it.
