Field Day Fest Still On
afuture1 by Andrew Future June 5th, 2003
Radiohead, Beastie Boys, Beck, Blur and Gemma Hayes have ‘reconfirmed’ to play the New York Field Day Festival which will now be just a one day event at the New York Giants Stadium.

Originally scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday in Calverton, N.Y., a new venue was found in a last-ditch attempt to save the event. Riverhead Town Board last night refused to grant a ‘mass gathering’ permit. A similar permit had already been denied by Suffolk County, citing ‘security and logistical’ concerns.

Original tickets will automatically be refunded, and those wishing to attend the one day event this Saturday will have to purchase new tickets.

(Like any of you lot will be going anyway!)

Full coverage of this event will feature on VirtualFestivals.com
