Mondo Generator: Queen of the Barfly
sean by Sean Adams June 25th, 2003
Mondo Generator are playing a secret gig tonight (25th June 2003) at The Monarch in Camden.

ZZ-top bearded Viking lookalikey, who's partial to getting his cock out and sometimes Queens of the Stone Age bassist, Nick Oliveri, will be rocking the rock under his Mondo Generator side project guise on 25th June 2003 at everybodies favourite Camden toilet venue, The Barfly.

According to a spokesman for Ipecac Records, the former Kyuss and The Dwarves "wild man", will be probably playing a set that consists of Nick, on his own, with an acoustic guitar, but, the spokesman continued "with Mr Oliveri you never know quite what to expect."

You may remember that at the end of last year he played a couple of solo Mondo shows at The Enterprise Bar (that's the tiny rather g.a.y. looking acoustic venue just up the road from the Barfly) which featured guest appearances from Mark Lanegan and Joey Castillo.

The album 'A Drug Problem That Never Existed' which features guest appearances from the likes of Josh Homme, Blag Dhalia (The Dwarves), Mark Lanagen, Rex Everything, Troy Van Leeuwen (QOTSA, A Perfect Circle) and many more, is out on the 14th of July via Mike Patton's Ipecac label.
