Mower Get The Morning After Blues
tom_edwards by Tom Edwards July 26th, 2003
Mower return with new album and August tour dates...

The band are to release their second LP, titled 'The Morning After', on August 4th through Graham Coxon's Transcopic label.

The album was produced by legendary Blur and The Smiths collaborator Stephen Street and recorded at London's Mayfair Studio. Street is said to have been attracted to the project by frontman Matthew Motte's classic English songwriter appeal, remarking upon his insightful observation and keen pop sensibility.

Motte was joined by new recruits, bassist Nash and drummer John Barrett for the recordings, following the demise of Mower MK1 in October 2001. The new line-up will be touring in support of album at the following dates:

AUGUST

Mon 4 - Liverpool Barfly
Tue 5 - Sheffield Casbah
Wed 6 - London Metro
Thu 7 - Bath Moles
Fri 8 - Cardiff Barfly
Sat 9 - Bristol Louisiana
Mon 11 - Northampton Soundhaus

Fans will also be able catch the band's exclusive Radio One session on Zane Lowe's show over the week of the album's release. XFM are also featuring the band on their Exposure slot the same week.
