The Darkness to Rock the Astoria Once More
sean by Sean Adams November 5th, 2003
Gimme a D, gimme an 'arkness... Carling Homecoming sponsor the return of the pop sensation of 2003 and it's FREE to get in...

Think back, earlier this year, The Darkness were cult heroes, hated by most of the music press for being 'some cock rock band', to the point the 'music press' (read: NME) wouldn't touch them with yours, yet through support from X-Fm, Dazed and Confused and sites such as DiS and Playlouder, they built up a following great enough to headline The Astoria. Now, they've got a proper hit album, a hit single or two and a pretty much sold out stadium tour under their leopard print belts. Now, they're media darlings and can play games with The Man...

On Tuesday 11th November 2003, The Darkness will return to the Astoria sponsored by Carling. You can get in free by going to carlinglive.com and the bands official website thedarknessrock.com. If you're not one of the lucky 1200 people and don't manage to get a ticket, fear not, DiS will be there with sweatbands'n'tassles on to report on the r'n'r action.

DiScuss: OMiGOD, Justin is SO buff, LOL, LOL!
