the boy least likely to will be playing in-store at rough trade east on tuesday march 10th 2009. when the boy least likely to emerged from their wendover hideaway back in 2004, lots of people who like music got very excited. now this tends to happen quite a lot, but in this instance the excited people had good reason. a trail of 7" singles had dropped some hints that something special was happening out in a small village in buckinghamshire, but the release of their debut album 'the best party ever made' it abundantly clear that pete hobbs (music, instruments) and jof owen (words, voice) were a very good indie pop band. 'every goliath has its david' is the first taster for the second album 'the law of the playground' and it's a another joyous pop song that sounds like a mix of a child like dexy's midnight runners and an under produced elo. the 7" is limited to 500 copies and comes backed by non album track 'a balloon on a broken string'.....release date: 02/03/2009
