whatever you want to call it (witch house? drag? haunted house?) there's a global group of musicians and bedroom horror terrorists who are producing heavy, morbid and thrilling electronic music infused with the occult, dark chic and a whole plethora of different aural influences. whilst being a thoroughly modern phenomenon seemingly birthed by the internet and a menacing zeitgeist, there's hints of the past in all these artists work. shoegaze, ebm, electro, house music, 90s pedal-pushing noise, and even hip hop and dubstep all seethe through the work of (///^^), //tense//, modern witch, master suspiria vision et al. hype aside, there's some brilliant dark ripples on the surface of the 21st century underground and 'isvlot' is a prescient snapshot.
