this new band from toronto is a breath of fresh air. topped with sugary vocals and white washes of dreamy musical textures, that instantly remind you of the cocteau twins, you can easily hear these youngsters 90's influences. the sweet sounds of bjork and the sugarcubes instantly come into your mind as these catchy and arty female vocals take shape. the album captures a period of innocence and a period of change, yet comes off as strikingly mature beyond their years. most importantly, it displays a yearning and striving to break through, an ambitious debut for a young band just getting started. on kanine records.
