Waves of OK is more than just OK.»

19 minute limited and etched 12" on not even. misery. yearning. pressure. loss. all of these and many other strains are present in 'waves of ok', the debut ep from london's psychologist, a not even-released record of minimal, introspective electrogaze. his maudlin singing is wearied like the last embers of a campfire; other vocals and sounds overlap in a disconcerting, diffuse fashion. this is not music for laser-lovers or the glasshalffuller, but for those who see shapes in the night it's manna from you-know-where. an appropriate metaphor given the recording location was a church. for fans of burial, james blake and bark psychosis.
